Best home remedies for dandruff

I was suffering from dandruff for a very long time and used many many shampoos which says, dandruff will be removed in few washes. But nothing worked in my case. So I started collecting the tips from magazines, my aunty and net and tried the DIY home remedies for dandruff by myself and I feel the result is good. So if you also have any dandruff problem then try these tips at home.
7 best tips to get rid of Dandruff
1. Use Fenugreek and Yoghurt

Soak 2 tbsp Fenugreek seeds in 4 tbsp yoghurt overnight. Grind to a paste and apply on the scalp, ( if you like you can even give slight massage ) and leave it for 15 min. Wash it with any shikakai powder or any shampoo. Do this twice for best results.

2. Coconut oil and Lemon Juice

Mix coconut oil (try to use the non-flavored oil), with 1 tbsp lemon juice. Give massage to your scalp. Wash and rise your hair after 30 min.
3. Lemon Juice

The acidity of lemon helps to keep the pH balance of hair and hence keeps the dandruff away. Lemon has the ability to fight against the fungus which is one of the main reason for the dandruff.
Take 2 tbsp of lemon juice and massage on your scalp 10 min, before taking shower. Shower as usual. Dandruff goes away with regular use.
4. Shallots

Shallots also play a great part in treating dandruff.
Take 4 to 5 shallots. Remove the outer skin and grind to a fine paste. Squeeze and get the juice. Rub this juice on the scalp. Leave for atleast 10 min. Wash it with shikakai. ( this tip I got from a TV show)
5. Power of Neem

Neem has natural power to get rid of the dandruff in natural way without affecting the hair. It has anti bacterial and anti dandruff property.
1. Take 1 cup of neem leaves. Grind in a processor adding 1/2 cup water. Strain the juice. Add coconut oil. ( ratio 1 cup neem juice : 1/2 cup coconut oil). Beat the two nicely and apply in the scalp. Wash with shikakai or mild shampoo.
6. Baking Soda

Now a days many houses have the baking soda for the cooking purpose. This soda also helps to remove the dandruff, as it maintains the pH balance of our scalp and thus reduces the formation of dandruff causing fungi.
Take 2 tbsp baking soda and add water to name a paste. Massage on the scalp and rinse and wash normally. Do not use shampoo after using baking soda.
( I have not tried baking soda but got the tip from the magazine )
7. Apple cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has natural anti-fungal properties to combat and mitigate dandruff and its acidic properties balance pH levels and prevents further fungal growth.

Mix equal parts of apple cider vinegar and water. Slowly Massage and concentrate more on the dandruff affected areas into your scalp and leave it for 10min atleast before shampooing.
Hope you will try these Remedies for dandruff and get a dandruff free hair.
