Home Remedies for dry hair using Fruit Masks – Fruits play a vital part in treating dry hair. In my previous post we saw how to treat the dry hair using the items which is readily available in kitchen. Today we see, what fruits are used and how they can be used to treat the dry hair.

Best 5 fruit masks to treat dry hair
1. Banana

The high potassium in Banana helps effectively in removing the dryness from the hair. Follow the below tips once a week for a smooth and shiny hair. 
a). Take one ripe banana and smash it well. Add 1 tbsp of olive or almond oil. Mix it thoroughly. Apply this pack, from roots to the ends. Leave it for 30min atleast. Wash with mild shampoo. 
b). Mix 1 ripe banana with 1 egg white. Smash or blend them well. Apply them on the hair and leave it for 20 min. Wash it with shampoo.

2. Papaya

Take Papaya pulp in a bowl (100 gms), add the neem leaf powder (or grind the neem leaves to a smooth paste) and 2 tbsp coconut oil. Beat all nicely and apply the mask for 30 to 45 min. Rinse with the mild shampoo. 
3. Avocado

Avocado is rich in Vitamins A, E and its natural moisturizer gives a shining look to to the hair. 
a. Take 1 avocado and mix with 2 tsp of almond oil or olive oil. Beat them nicely to make s paste. Apply this pack from roots to the end of hair. Wash it off with mild shampoo.

4. Guava

Guava is rich in Vitamin A and helps to nourish the hair from the roots. Smash the ripe guava and add 2 tbsp lime juice. Mix it well. Apply the mask for 30 min. You get a nice silky hair. 
5. Strawberry

Have you ever wondered that the fleshy, sweet, yummy strawberry is a great treatment for dry hair? Yes. Strawberry has so many benefits and its use on hair along with the below mentioned ingredients are amazing.
Strawberries – 5 to 6
Yogurt – 1 tbsp
Coconut oil – 1 tbsp
Egg white – 1
Smash the strawberries and add the other ingredients to make a paste. Apply this paste to your hair. Let it sit for 30 to 40 min. Wash your hair. You can feel the difference in 4 to 5 washes itself. 
Also eat more strawberries for healthy skin and hair.

[ Note: These fruit masks for treating dry hair may be time consuming while washing your hair. So try these when you have ample of free time ]
Some do’s and don’ts for your hair
Try to cover the hair when going out in sunlight.
Do not comb the wet hair 
Try to cover the hair during swimming, that too in chlorinated water. 
Last but not the least and most important, eat more fruits and veggies.
Do not use hair dryer often to dry the hair. It makes hair more dry and spoils the hair.
